La Capricieuse’s cow milk liqueurs can be used as a cocktail base, a baking ingredient or even poured onto top of ice cream or cake. For us, the best way to enjoy the unique flavours of any Vache spirit is to drink it on its own! To make your own Vache on the Rocks, pour any variety of Vache liqueur over crushed ice in a glass of your choice. It works wonderfully as a digestif, or an alternative to dessert!

Berry, France
Located in the centre of France, Berry is a peaceful, ancient region, full of green fields and farmland. Historically known as the birthplace of many great kings, it is now well-known today as the birthplace of goat cheese! The most famous cheese, Crottin de Chavignol, originated here in the 16th century. La Capricieuse is produced in Corrèze, in the south of this region, sourcing their cow milk from Limoges and their goat milk from Valençay.
Local sourcing
Founders Alexandre and Nicolas hail from the central farming region of Berry, France - a place well-known for its goat cheeses. In an effort to create a local product that represents their home region, they created La Capricieuse goat milk liqueurs. Since then, they have expanded their flavour selection and have also started a line of cow milk liqueurs. They source their fresh milk from a nearby farm in Limoges, France, keeping everything local, artisanal, and true to the La Capricieuse vision.
Showcasing three French regions
La Capricieuse cow milk liqueurs are available in three different flavours: salted caramel, apple, and coconut. The salted caramel version is a love letter to Brittany, with a sophisticated, gourmet touch that complements the playful, sweet, candy flavours of the caramel. We move over to Normandy for the origins of the fresh, fruity, soft apple liqueur, made from a Calvados alcohol base and local bio apple juice. The coconut version is an homage to the French Antilles in the Caribbean, with a tropical, festive aroma and a fun, expressive palate that is reminiscent of a Piña Colada.
The Brains Behind It
A local duo of craft spirit lovers
Alexandre Rizzotto and Nicolas Guilloteau are two friends who hail from the old region of Berry in central France. Having already co-created his own vodka, Alexandre wanted to create a spirit that would pay homage to his hometown using the iconic ingredient of his region - goat milk. He soon teamed up with his friend Nicolas and a team of local farmers to start producing this elixir. Thanks to the support of their community they began concocting original cream liqueurs and launched La Capricieuse in 2016.
