Vuurzee is an elegant, sparkling, award-winning brut beer. It is brewed using a yeast with sparkling wine characteristics and hand-picked Pinot Noir grapes from our own vineyard in the Netherlands. The sparkling yeast gives Vuurzee a fresh, lightly tart character and a delicate mousse on the palate. Subtle tannins from the grape skins add a refined bitterness. The result? A gastronomic drink with fine bubbles, fruity notes, and an elegant, complex flavour profile. Crafted for the true connoisseur. Brewed by Bourgondisch Brouwhuis De Goede & de Stoute.

Vuurzee started with a simple observation. Our founder grew up surrounded by gastronomy. His mother trained many of the leading chefs, so the world of taste, aroma and food pairing was part of daily life. Years later, while dining in top restaurants, he noticed something missing. Enjoying a beer with fine dining simply wasn’t an option. Sommeliers rarely considered beer a serious partner for gastronomy. The carbonation was too strong, the bitterness too dominant, and the bottle itself didn’t belong on a fine dining table. Yet he believed that certain dishes could shine even brighter with beer than with wine. So he started experimenting. In his garage, with a small brewing kettle and a YouTube video, he brewed more than 150 batches over the course of a year and a half. The result became Vuurzee, a sparkling gastronomic beer made with champagne yeast for elegance and freshness, and refined bitterness created by pinot noir. Presented in a champagne-style bottle, it finally gives chefs and sommeliers a beer worthy of the fine dining table. Encouraged by the enthusiasm of chefs and sommeliers, the founder decided in 2018 to turn this passion into a company. It was named De Goede & De Stoute, inspired by two grand dukes of gastronomy: Philip the Good and Charles the Bold of Burgundy. Father and son, known for bringing the good life to the table. At a time when food was modest, they celebrated lavish banquets and refined dining, laying the foundations for the Burgundian lifestyle we still enjoy today. Today, De Goede & De Stoute operates with a compact, dedicated team. Small in size, ambitious in vision. Together we craft exceptional products for gastronomy, served in remarkable places around the world, wherever quality, experience and true connoisseurs come together. https://fr.degoedeendestoute.nl
