The Song Cha EARL GREY is a balanced creation with a well-presented zesty freshness. The note of Bergamot lingers, supported by the alcohol. The tannic strength of the slightly bitter black tea provides a nice, long finish.

Song Cha: A Modern Revival of an Ancient Tea-Based Spirit
It was in China, during the Song dynasty (960-1279), that a tea-based alcohol appeared for the first time. Its inventor, the poet Su Dongpo, was a brilliant jack-of-all-trades: painter, judge, philosopher, calligrapher, governor, magistrate, tutor to the future emperor Zhezong, and... for his personal consumption, a tea distiller. Unfortunately, the recipe was lost over time until the creation of Song Cha in the 21st century.
Reviving an Ancient Recipe with a Modern Twist
Song Cha, or the Tea of the Song Dynasty, is indeed the revival of Su Dongpo's ancestral recipe. Song Cha is a true innovation, as it is not only a new product but also a new category in the world of spirits. Song Cha distills 10 grand cru teas from around the world to surprise tea enthusiasts and spirit lovers. Darjeeling, Earl Grey, Lapsang Souchong, Keemun, Rooibos... are now enjoyed on the rocks or in cocktails.
